Where I Stood

People are strange. Sometimes you think you know a person. Sometimes you hope you know a person well enough to deal with things in a mature manner. But then they disappoint you, act immaturely, deny that they've done anything wrong and turn around and accuse you of being nasty, uncaring, dishonest, and "mature" (I don't get that one at all, or any of the others for that matter). And worst of all, you find that they've complained to mutual friends.

Well, whaddaya do but move on? It's not the first time and it won't be the last.

In the meantime, I work, I read, I knit, I get ready for birthdays and such. I find other friends, the sort that laugh with me, don't mind when I get a little dirty-minded, understand my enjoyment of anime, knitting, and being strange. Who don't judge me for the clothes I wear or friends I have.

And in the end, it's a relief. I'm sad. I'm angry. But I'm cooling off and moving on.
